On Friday 26 November The Jazz Workshop Biggish Band will be performing at the St. Luke's Hospice Fundraiser Jazz in the Park in the Rondebosch Park (on Liesbeek Parkway / Campground Rd between Rondebosch common and Newlands).

This event featuring loads of food and refreshment stalls and music starts at 19h00, so come and have some food and wine in the park, while listening to the music of Russel Majiet, Dino Miranda and Free Moya, and from 21h00 - 22h00 the Jazz Workshop Biggish Band will perform a programme of original Big Band tunes and arragngements of South African classics.

Jazz in the Park is a free concert but donations will be welcome.

Then on Sunday November 28, we will be performing at the City of Cape Town's Switching On of the Festive Lights  at the fountain on Heerengracht/Adderley where a two and a half hour concert will take place from 18h00 featuring world-renowned Marimba group Amampondo, pop idols Heinz Winkler and Poseletso, hot local dance artist Galatia and Cape Town jazz legend Robbie Jansen, who will be performing with the Jazz Workshop Biggish Band.

After the ‘Switch On’ ceremony at around 8pm, the parade, lead by the Mayor and including fire-eating dragons, traffic police outriders, minstrels, marching bands and a fire engine bearing Santa and the Elves will take to the streets.
