Hanepoot & the Biggish Band is performing at a fund raiser for the Woodside Special Care Centre put on by the Motor Cycle Minstries this Saturday 15 October at the Lansdowne Hall, corner of Lansdowne Road & Church Street, Lansdowne (next door to the HELP Ministries). As usual we will be performing original works written for the Biggish Band by Merton Barrow, David Ledbetter, Douglas Armstrong and Jannie 'Hanepoot' van Tonder, as well as some new arrangements of tunes by Zakes Nkosi, Dollar Brand, Winston Nyaunda, Chris McGregor and Errol Dyers. other gigs coming up: 4 December, Cafe Royal, Cape Town CBD (old Roxy Cinema behind City Hall) -- CD Launch! more info at www.jazz.co.za |
The Biggish Band is an amateur Big Band based in Cape Town, and lead by trombonist Jannie 'Hanepoot' van Tonder

The Biggish Band plays original compositions, as well as new arrangements of South African Jazz standards.
